Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Status Saver (“the App”) handles information when you use the App.
Status Saver is designed to operate primarily on your device.
We do not operate a server that collects or stores your personal information, status media, phone numbers, messages, or other content processed by the App.
The App may process the following information locally on your device:
Photos and videos from a folder that you explicitly select.
The folder access permission granted through Android’s system file picker.
App preferences, such as your selected WhatsApp/WhatsApp Business folder and onboarding settings.
Phone numbers and optional messages that you enter when using the “Send via WhatsApp” feature.
This information is used only to provide the App’s features.
To display WhatsApp statuses, the App asks you to select the relevant WhatsApp Status folder using Android’s system file picker.
The App only accesses the folder that you explicitly authorize.
The App does not request unrestricted access to all files on your device for this feature.
You can revoke folder access at any time through your Android device settings.
When you choose to save a photo or video, the App copies the selected media to a StatusSaver folder in your device’s Pictures or Movies storage.
The saved media remains on your device and is subject to the storage and gallery controls provided by your Android device.
The App includes an optional feature that allows you to enter a phone number and message and open WhatsApp to start a conversation without first saving the number as a contact.
The App does not send the message itself. The information you enter is passed to WhatsApp through the appropriate WhatsApp link/deep-link mechanism so that WhatsApp can handle the conversation.
Your use of WhatsApp is governed by WhatsApp’s own privacy policy and terms.
The App may check whether an internet connection is available before opening WhatsApp’s messaging link.
The App does not use its own server to upload your status photos, videos, phone numbers, or messages.
Certain App preferences, such as selected folder references and onboarding status, are stored locally on your device using Android’s local application storage.
We do not intentionally transmit these preferences to our servers.
We do not sell, rent, or otherwise share your personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
The App does not include advertising or third-party tracking services.
When you use the WhatsApp messaging feature, information is handled by WhatsApp after the App opens WhatsApp. WhatsApp’s handling of that information is subject to WhatsApp’s own privacy practices.
Information processed by Status Saver is primarily handled locally on your device.
Because the App does not upload your status media or personal information to our servers, we do not maintain a server-side database containing this information.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Android device and any files stored on it.
Status Saver is not specifically directed toward children.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through our own servers.
Status Saver may interact with third-party applications such as WhatsApp when you choose to use features that open or share content with those applications.
Third-party applications have their own privacy policies and practices. We recommend reviewing their privacy policies before using their services.
You can:
Revoke folder access through your Android device settings.
Delete saved photos and videos from your device.
Uninstall the App to remove its locally stored application data.
Choose whether or not to use the WhatsApp messaging feature.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
Any changes will be reflected by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this Privacy Policy.
If you have questions, concerns, or suggestions regarding this Privacy Policy or Status Saver, please contact us using the contact information provided in the App’s About Us section.
